A company in the professional catering sector contacted our consulting office with a request for the construction of their refrigerated shelves: how to join sheets with slightly offset oval holes?

Because of the offset holes, the application was extremely too difficult to reach with the standard fastening systems.
In addition, considering the low temperatures and humidity to which the components are subjected, was it possible to combine fastening and corrosion resistance?
The answer is yes.
We had a sample of the application sent to us in order to carry out the appropriate tests in our laboratories, and our technical department found out the best fastening solution for this problem: we created a customized Saribulb structural blind rivet, with a longer mandrel to reach the application and close the sheets despite the offset holes, made of stainless steel to ensure better resistance to corrosion.
