Today we will analyze blind rivets for the construction sector, in particular fastening systems for scaffolding, or shelving.
These structures are subjected to many stresses: they have to support the weight of operators in movement, of the working or stored material, and being mostly outdoors they are exposed to atmospheric conditions and gusts of wind.
The answer is a blind rivet which guarantees very high mechanical characteristics, and which resists the action of atmospheric agents.
Sarilock structural rivets are very suitable: the double-diameter nail guarantees very high shear resistance. It also remains locked inside the application, which, added to a particular grooving, makes it extremely resistant to vibrations.
Alternatively, our team has developed a customized fastening system for one of our customers: a wide-headed steel blind rivet with a 10μm ZnNi rivet body and an 8μm steel nail. The large head guarantees larger application area, while the Zinc Nickel treatment provides ideal protection against atmospheric events.
